Operations Team Member
Bridgend, Wales
Salary: £31,180 starting salary
Hours: Working 40 hours per week on a 3-week shift pattern (6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm & 10pm - 6am) Monday to Friday, with overtime available.
Marshalls Bricks and Masonry brings over 100 years expertise in the walling sector. We design, manufacture, and deliver bricks, walling and masonry with a specialism in low carbon concrete bricks. We are part of the Marshalls PLC, the UK’s leading manufacturer of hard landscaping, building and roofing products!
As part of our investment and growth plans for Marshalls Bricks and Masonry, we’re now recruiting for a Production Operative, more commonly known as an Operation Team Member within Marshalls,to join our manufacturing site at Bridgend.
So what's the mission?
You will be joining our team on a permanent basis where you’ll be making concrete products to the required specification for the end customer and will have experience working in an environment where safety, quality, waste, and OEE targets are a norm! You will carry out all duties relating to the efficient manufacturing of high-quality Decorative Architectural Masonry products and other concrete products, using all operational techniques. The position requires hands-on manual handling which includes the use of powered hand tools, machinery, and mechanical handling equipment, experience in this is essential.
Full training is provided, and flexibility is required during the training period.
What are the mission-critical skills?
* Experience of operating in a small/medium manufacturing operation, preferably in a related industry, but not essential
* FLT counterbalance licence
* Team player with attention to detail
* Good level of English, oral and written
* IOSH qualification is desirable
* Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is advantageous
* A forward-thinking individual continually looking at improving processes with a Continuous Improvement mindset
