An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the multidisciplinary team within the operating theatres of NHS Tayside. The successful applicant may be required to vary their workplace within the area covered by NHS Tayside, as required.
You will play an important part in the patient’s journey, working within the operating theatres and assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) & Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) in the care and treatment of patients undergoing surgical procedures. Healthcare experience would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential qualities for this post.
You will be expected to comply with the national Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland (2009) and the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers (2009) for this post.

Hours of work are: Full time (37 hours) with a commitment to day/night rotation and on-call if required by the clinical area. Alternative hours may be considered.
