Job Title: Pressure Systems Technical Authority
Key Responsibilities
* The TA is responsible for developing and maintaining all relevant discipline engineering strategies, policies and procedures necessary to ensure regulatory compliance, safe and efficient operation of operated assets, supported assets and contracts.
* Identifying discipline specific SECE’s during safety case development, developing and maintaining the performance standards. Authorising the resulting SECE assurance routines in the maintenance system.
* Assessing and authorising of the deferral of SECE assurance activities and planned maintenance activities in the maintenance system.
* When SECE’s fail to achieve the performance standard requirements, providing advice on how to close the risk gap, with mitigations, to an acceptable level. Endorsing the asset ORA’s and contributing to the asset cumulative risk assessment.
* Endorsing SECE suitability & reliability reviews, recommendations for remediation of degraded equipment, reviewing Verifier comments and recommendations.
* Approving operational changes and modifications via the Management of Change.
* Undertake site visits to establish and maintain familiarity with the assets and site management personnel. Undertake MAH audit/review on site as required.
* Support UK verification remedial actions (RAR etc) and marine class actions (CoC etc) as necessary.
* Support incident investigations and root cause analysis as necessary.
* Role Specific Responsibilities: Review and approve high risk anomalies, fitness for service engineering assessments and temporary repairs as required.
* Other tasks which may reasonably be expected within the scope of the position.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
* Chartered Engineer, CEng, with relevant oil and gas or chemical industries experience.
* Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience in oil and gas or chemical industries experience.
* Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, design codes and guidance.
* Offshore medical and associated certification required to go offshore.
* Understanding of risk-based integrity processes and databases, including AIMS, PSIMS, management, temporary repairs and fitness for service techniques.
* Detailed knowledge of inspection techniques and damage mechanisms.
* Appropriate level of HSE experience built up through oil & gas industry/ offshore exposure.
* Good behavioural and communicational skills for dealing with customers and a diverse workforce.
* Sound technical discipline knowledge.
* Ability to work in team in a problem-solving environment.
* Ability to take the initiative and work unsupervised to meet schedules and quality objectives.
