Adults Social Worker - Elmbridge Locality Team, Surrey County Council
We are hiring a qualified and registered Social Worker to join the Elmbridge Locality team in Weybridge. The role offers a supportive team, training and development opportunities including the Social Work Academy Senior Readiness Programme, with hybrid working (2-3 days in the office per week) and a period of full-time office-based work during induction.
Salary: £42,239 per annum (36-hour week).
Responsibilities
* Undertake duty work, S9 assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments and S42 Enquiries.
* Assess social care needs and provide direct social work intervention to service users and carers using a strength-based approach to promote independence and choice.
* Work across various projects to enable individuals to live in a home of their own with support to live a healthy and meaningful lifestyle.
* Collaborate with carers, family members and partner organisations to enable residents to live their best possible lives and ensure carers/family feel supported.
Qualifications and Experience
* Professional qualification in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England.
* ASYE completed if qualified after June 2012 (if applicable).
* Experience with strengths-based approaches, safeguarding, and current legislation (Care Act, Mental Capacity Act).
* Experience in assessment, preparation of support plans and reviewing outcomes; ability to use professional judgement in complex situations.
* Driving licence, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel across a wide geographical area (reasonable adjustments may be made for eligible applicants).
