Our client, a well-established and growing electronics business supplying components, kits, assemblies and solutions across a range of industry sectors, is seeking a Procurement & Sales Support professional to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career within a technical, fast-paced engineering environment, with exposure to both procurement and commercial/sales functions.
The role is weighted slightly more toward procurement, focusing on supplier engagement, pricing, lead times and supply chain coordination, whilst also supporting the sales function with customer enquiries, quotations and account management.
Importantly, this role offers genuine flexibility for progression — whether that be developing into a dedicated procurement role, a sales/account management position, or remaining as a hybrid commercial role, depending on the individual’s strengths and interests.
The Role
Working closely with both the purchasing and sales teams, you will be responsible for:
* Supporting procurement activities including supplier liaison, pricing, lead times and availability checks
* Assisting with sourcing electronic components and identifying alternative supply routes
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
* Supporting cost control and margin improvement through effective purchasing
* Handling inbound customer enquiries and preparing quotations
* Following up quotations and supporting the sales process through to order completion
* Managing and updating data within the ERP system (pricing, suppliers, customers)
* Supporting account management activities and maintaining strong customer relationships
* Coordinating internally with technical, purchasing and sales teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Experience in a procurement, purchasing, sales support or internal sales role
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Good commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
* Organised with strong attention to detail
* Confident using Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems
Desirable:
* Experience within electronics, engineering or a technical environment
* Understanding of supply chain and procurement processes
* Exposure to customer-facing sales or account management activities
* Interest in developing a career within procurement, sales or a hybrid commercial role
