Full-time (35 hours per week) | Salary: £25,
We’re looking for a motivated, highly organised Events & Communications Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Events Manager, you’ll play a key role in coordinating the delivery of Remembrance and Commemorative events that bring together the Armed Forces community, while also supporting the organisation’s communications and digital presence.
This is a mid-level role with real scope to take ownership of projects, contribute fresh ideas, and work with a wide range of stakeholders.
What you’ll do
Event Coordination
1. Coordinate operational and administrative elements to ensure the successful delivery of Remembrance, Commemorative, and special events
2. Maintain and update the Events Equipment Register and ceremonial stock
3. Manage the Legion minibus, including MOT, servicing, insurance, and routine checks
4. Support one-off and special project events from planning through to execution
Communications & Digital Content
5. Create and publish content across social platforms including Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram
6. Maintain and update event information and content on the website
7. Support the design and production of publications for Head Office, Branches, and Clubs
8. Identify PR opportunities to raise the profile of the Legion’s activities
Additional Responsibilities
9. Undertake other duties as directed by the Line Manager or CEO
10. Be available for occasional evening and weekend work
11. Travel independently as required (clean driving licence essential)
What we’re looking for
12. Proficiency in MS Office and digital communication tools
13. Strong social media skills, with the ability to grow audiences and build brand awareness
14. Excellent team-working skills and confidence collaborating with diverse groups
15. Able to work independently with initiative, creativity, and attention to detail
16. Comfortable working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines
17. Experience managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
