About the Role
We are actively recruiting for this new additional role to enhance our current and established bidding team, reporting to the Head of BIDS & Marketing. Successful applicants will be working on multi‑sector submissions, such as Local Governments, Retail, Education, Health, Highways and Utilities, so you will need to be able to multitask and manage several submissions at any one time. This can be a high‑pressure environment due to deadlines, so experience working in a similar environment would be an advantage. The primary focus is to produce a successful submission within the agreed timescale. You will also conduct client/competitor analysis as part of the process.
Location: Eccles
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities – But Not Limited To
* Identifying opportunities – reviewing contract notices and adverts/invites to identify opportunities of interest to the business.
* Bid/No‑Bid Process – conducting a full Bid/No‑Bid process for each opportunity with the wider team.
* Responsibility from receipt until submission of all event stages such as EoI, PQQ, RTI, ITT, ITN and RFP, for both existing and new clients.
* Working with the wider business to obtain/compile content and write technical answers.
* Working with the sales team on the completion of the commercial aspects of the bids.
* Managing own workload, working on multiple submissions at any one time. These can range from £10,000 to £10 million+ in value, depending on the services being procured and contract duration.
Experience
* Past experience of the bid process at the same level.
* Past experience working in the utility industry would be an advantage.
* Excellent written and verbal English skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
* Experience of multitasking in a high‑pressure environment.
* Be able to work to tight deadlines.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Good organisational and administrative skills.
