Environmental Health Manager (Protection) - Maldon District Council
Maldon District Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Environmental Health Manager with expertise in Environmental Protection. You will play a vital role in protecting and enhancing our local environment, ensuring compliance with key environmental legislation, and leading investigations, inspections, and projects aimed at natural resource protection, pollution reduction, and community safety.
This role involves:
* Managing environmental protection matters including air quality, noise control, contaminated land, private water supplies, statutory nuisances, and animal welfare.
* Leading and developing a team of Environmental Health Officers, Technical Officers, Enforcement Officers, Animal Welfare Officers, and Administrative Officers.
* Conducting investigations, providing specialist advice, and enforcing legislation related to environmental protection.
* Developing and updating policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
* Collaborating with other departments, agencies, stakeholders, and council members to deliver effective environmental health services.
* Leading major projects within the team.
* Preparing reports and attending Council Committee Meetings.
