Key responsibilities for the role include:
* Providing skills advice to investors
* Developing and reviewing investor facing skills content and propositions for both internal and external audiences
* Acting as a source of skills knowledge for key investors who may be unfamiliar with UK skills systems
* Upskilling DBT officials on the skills system, including policy announcements and their impact, to enable them better to advise investors
* Advising ministers and No.10 on how investors can be supported through the skills system
* Influencing policy development, by working across Government departments to shape Government policy in a way that supports investors while aligning with strategic government objectives
* Working closely with colleagues across the skills system, including DfE, Skills England, OGDs, local authorities, FE and HE institutions to design solutions for investors’ skills needs
* Being proactive and innovative in creating new partnerships and approaches with colleagues across HMG and beyond to enable a cross-government approach to supporting key investors on issues relating to skills
