Temporary Staffing Bank - Health Visitor

To support KCHFT health visiting teams in delivering the Healthy Child Programme, improving outcomes for individuals, families, and the community. Utilizing a family-focused public health approach and delivering intensive programmes for the most complex children and families.
Manage a clinical caseload and work as part of the Universal Services Health Visiting team, in line with KCHFT Health Visiting commissioned service. Work in partnership with statutory and non-statutory agencies to develop plans to improve health outcomes for individuals, families, groups, and the wider community.
Contribute to the Kent Safeguarding agenda through assessments, child in need, and child protection participation.
Main duties of the job
Band 6 Health Care Professionals (HCP) work closely with service users, families, friends, and carers, contributing significantly to their experience of our services.
Band 6 HCPs are expected to be kind, responsive, and professional, enhancing the quality of services by:

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered healthcare professional (NMC or HCPC registration) / minimum of 3 years in health improvement
* Health-related degree with evidence of postgraduate Level 6 development
* Specialist qualifications relevant to practice area (e.g., non-medical prescribing, mentorship, coaching); qualifications to be specified by service
* PRINCE2 or equivalent project management training
* PTLLS/DTLLS, PGCE, or Certificate in Education
* Management or supervisory qualification or experience, with ongoing master’s level study
Experience
* At least 2 years' experience in the relevant practice area
* Experience managing health projects or complex caseloads
* Experience supporting others (mentoring, educating, supervising)
* Leadership and team management experience
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other IT packages (E-Pay, E-roster, AT-P, CIS)
Specialist Knowledge
* Knowledge of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidelines relevant to the care setting and their application
* Evidence of recent professional development and practical implementation within the past 12 months
Skills and Abilities
* Understanding of training needs related to the role
* Effective time management, prioritization, and ability to work under pressure
* Effective communication skills for complex and sensitive information
* Strong influencing and negotiating skills
