Job Title: Project Engineer
Our client, a leading local engineering company, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for career progression and professional development.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Engineering Team to develop project plans and budgets, ensuring milestones are met.
2. Source suppliers based on the bill of materials and engineering specifications, liaising with design engineers for alternatives or variations.
3. Purchase equipment in compliance with budget and company procedures.
4. Distribute documentation and drawings to subcontractors for fabrication or assembly, ensuring correct revisions.
5. Visit subcontractors to coordinate and review production processes.
6. Work with the design team to meet specifications and conduct quality checks prior to handover.
7. Ensure FAT tests and quality checks are performed, documented, and snags cleared before products leave for site.
8. Coordinate site activities including surveys, haulage, safety documentation, lifting, labor, commissioning, testing, and client handover.
9. Manage project schedules and documentation control processes.
10. Communicate effectively with clients and project participants to interpret needs and present solutions.
11. Handle contract management tasks, including responding to compensation events and notices.
Candidate Requirements:
* Engineering qualification with experience in a related discipline.
* Proficiency with SolidWorks / AutoCAD and project experience.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Availability to travel across the UK.
