We are hiring a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Tunnel Ventilation team.
Opportunity
You will deliver effective and professional services for a range of varied and high‑profile clients. Starting day one you will have responsibilities in mechanical design and analysis of tunnels and underground/subway networks, including rapid transit systems, rail, automatic people movers, road tunnels, and utility, water and cable tunnels.
Responsibilities
• Mechanical design and analysis of tunnel ventilation systems.
• Support multidisciplinary design teams (architecture, electrical, environmental, fire engineering, acoustics, tunnelling, geotechnical, and project management).
• Provide support to team members and deliver professional services to clients.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
* Master's degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields (Physics, Applied Mathematics).
* Graduating or having studied a course accredited by the Engineering Council or other accrediting body.
* Graduate membership (or intended membership) of a professional institution such as the IMechE.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Good understanding of aero‑thermodynamics, numerical analysis and simulation, such as CFD.
* Experience with coding languages such as MATLAB, Python, Power BI or Visual Basic for Applications.
* Enthusiasm for a career in building and infrastructure design, underpinned by sector knowledge.
* Analytical thinking, presentation and communication skills.
* Proactive, self‑initiated, and a willingness to seek continuous improvement.
