Civil Engineering Technician

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience (up to £35,000 per annum)
About the Role
We are expanding our Civils team and are looking for an experienced and motivated Engineer or Technician to join us in our Worcester office. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of civil and infrastructure projects in a collaborative and growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret proposed masterplans and available data to design and model appropriate drainage networks.
* Use MicroDrainage software to simulate drainage systems and prepare corresponding CAD drawings.
* Prepare Chamber and Pipe Schedules, SuDS-based drainage designs, and supporting design reports.
* Work from geometric parameters and design standards provided by senior engineers to model roads, car parks, ponds, and other site features.
* Generate 2D and 3D CAD data, including Xrefs, for inclusion in design and construction drawings.
* Develop setting out drawings and reports based on 3D models.
* Support the Civils team in conducting earthworks balance calculations, producing reports, and preparing earthworks drawings for contractors.
* Attend design and site meetings when required.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience working within infrastructure, civils, or highways environments.
* Be proficient in MicroDrainage for designing networks for Section 278 and Section 38 works, housing, and commercial developments.
* Have working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D for modelling tasks (advanced geometric modelling skills an advantage).
* Be competent in AutoCAD and the production of accurate, scaled drawings.
* Be an effective team player with strong problem-solving abilities.
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
