Job Description
3. Manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and minimise overdue balances.
4. Produce and distribute accurate invoices and account statements in accordance with agreed timelines.
5. Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organisational policies.
6. Communicate effectively with customers to resolve payment-related queries and disputes.
7. Collaborate with internal teams to address account discrepancies and escalate unresolved issues when necessary.
8. Prepare regular financial reports for management, including aged debt analysis and collection forecasts.
9. Support the Accounting & Finance department with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
10. Ensure adherence to public sector financial regulations and internal controls.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Credit Controller should have:
11. Demonstrable experience in credit control or a related accounting and finance role.
12. A strong understanding of financial processes and regulations within the public sector.
13. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
14. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel - v look ups and pivot tables.
15. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines.
16. A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
