Overview
Great Bear (Part of the Culina Group) provides distribution services to FMCG clients. Customer centric service focus is delivered through a site-level empowered culture. We are seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager in Sherburn on a full-time permanent basis.
As the Warehouse First Line Manager, you will oversee operations to ensure service levels are achieved safely and efficiently, acting as a vital link to ensure customer requirements are met consistently. We work with well-known brands; the focus on customer needs and satisfaction is key in this role.
Working hours: 3 on 3 off, 6am-6pm. Salary: £31,953 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Act as the key point of contact with administration, stock and management teams to resolve warehouse issues.
* Prepare and complete shift handover documents and distribute data for the next shift to ensure seamless transition.
* Performance management of operatives using warehouse management system tools.
* Manage your team and ensure compliance with people processes and policy.
* Create training and forward resource plans to ensure the relevant skills mix on your shift.
* Ensure compliance with key control, key logs, radio logs, scanner logs, and MHE pre-op checks.
* Complete all Safe & Legal requirements and sign off monthly WM checks.
* Assist with weekly customer updates as required.
Qualifications
* Proven experience within a FLM or Senior Warehouse Operative role (ideally in fast-paced logistics/3PL).
* Working knowledge of operational and people management.
* Strong computer skills; proven knowledge of WMS systems and SAP is advantageous.
* Ability to motivate and empower others, with development opportunities and coaching.
* Adaptable to the team with proactive communication.
* Systematic, methodical and orderly approach to achieve project goals.
