Amazon is looking for a motivated individual for the role of Sr. Program Manager to manage the Partner Carrier Program (PCP) as part of the External Fulfilment Operations team. The Program Manager will lead PCP operations to drive efficiency, reduce defects, and enhance the seller experience. Reporting to the head of EF/ES Operations, this role will oversee the implementation of initiatives to address key opportunities, impacting the efficiency and reliability of the PCP Program.
This position requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, startup environment, partnering with others as needed, and exercising sound judgment to solve complex problems without clear direction. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to solve complex logistics challenges, possess a bias for action, and have the opportunity to drive transformative changes in this strategic fulfilment channel.
Key job responsibilities
1. Ensure seamless integration between EF/ES and PCP operations and business teams
2. Drive operational efficiency improvements in key metrics such as FDPS (First Day Pickup Success) and seller reimbursements
3. Launch training and policies to improve performance
4. Manage daily/weekly performance, build mechanisms to detect and reduce defects, and work on continuous improvements
5. Develop long-term capabilities to improve forecasting, reduce costs, and implement packaging/labelling improvement initiatives
6. Influence stakeholders to drive results, formulate standard operating procedures, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions
This role requires exceptional communication and influencing skills to work effectively across customers, business units, operations, and product teams.
About the team
The team manages External Fulfilment channels for Amazon India. It is responsible for performance, cost, quality, and speed metrics. The team is structured regionally, with a central team of Program Managers driving critical initiatives.
Minimum qualifications
* 5+ years of program or project management experience
* Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
* Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
* Strong analytical skills to interpret information, identify key facts, and review alternatives considering risks
* 2+ years of experience driving process improvements
* Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related fields
