Key Responsibilities:
* In-depth Knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in asphalt plant maintenance and processes, including drum and batch plants. Similarly, showcase proficiency in plant maintenance and processes, encompassing dry and wet batch plants.
* Pneumatics Systems: Possess a solid understanding of pneumatics systems, including familiarity with rams, solenoids, and pneumatic systems.
* Mechanical Engineering: Utilize comprehensive mechanical engineering skills to perform tasks such as changing and inspecting bearings, rollers, drums, valves, and gates.
* Hand Tool Proficiency: Exhibit the ability to proficiently use all hand tools associated with the plant industry.
* Welding Skills: Capable of MMA welding in an on-site environment to ensure equipment maintenance and repair.
* Inspection and Reporting: Conduct thorough plant inspections to identify defects and promptly report issues using online systems.
* Time Management: Prioritize workload effectively, set timelines, and demonstrate the ability to work within specified deadlines.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Create and adhere to Health & Safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements for all tasks undertaken, ensuring strict adherence to permit conditions.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
* Confined Space Working: Previous experience in confined space working is advantageous.
* Mobile Plant Operation: Familiarity with operating mobile plant equipment such as MEWP, Telehandler, and FEL is desirable.
* First Aid Certification: Possession of a valid First Aid certification is preferred.
Working Hours:
* Schedule: Work 12-hour shifts, with 12 consecutive days on duty followed by 2 days off.
* Flexibility: Be fully flexible regarding working hours and weekend shifts due to the dynamic nature of the role.
