Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of HGV Technicians, Engineers, a Service Coordinator and Administrator
* Oversee the maintenance and performance of our HGV fleet, plant equipment and material handling equipment
* Drive delivery against agreed KPIs and implement improvements where needed
* Manage performance effectively, developing strong performers and addressing underperformance
* Support the Health & Safety function in maintaining a safe working environment and high compliance standards
* Ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance are delivered smoothly
* Achieve targeted MOT pass rates and maintain fleet compliance
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
You’re an experienced workshop leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in running an organised, high‑performing operation. You understand the importance of safety, compliance and team development and you lead by example.
* Proven experience managing a busy HGV fleet workshop
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Experience within a fast-moving maintenance environment
* Confident using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other IT systems
* HGV maintenance qualification (desirable)
