Love a good checklist? You might be our next Assistant Examinations Officer.
If your idea of a good day involves colour-coded spreadsheets, perfectly aligned paperwork and the satisfaction of knowing everything is exactly where it should be, this role was made for you.
We're looking for an Assistant Exams Officer to help keep out exam operations running like a well-oiled machine. You'll be the go-to person for making sure students are entered correctly, papers are in the right place at the right time and results are delivered without a hitch. In short, you'll be the calm in the exam-season storm.
You will be part of a supportive team that values precision, planning and people. You will play a key role in student success (without having to sit the exams yourself!), and you will enjoy a varied role, responsibility and the satisfaction of knowing you're the reason everything works.
You will:
* Support the organisation and delivery of exams across the academic year
* Help students and staff navigate exam entries, fees and regulations
* Coordinate the practical side of exams - room bookings, seating plans, invigilators and more
* Ensure exam materials are secure, scripts are sent off correctly and results are issued smoothly
* Keep systems updated, records accurate and everyone informed
You will need:
* A sharp eye for detail and a love of organisation
* Great communication skills - you'll be dealing with everyone from students to senior staff
* Confidence with Microsoft Office and a knack for learning new systems
* A calm, can-do attitude (especially when things get busy)
* A commitment to confidentiality, compliance and doing things right the first time
This role is full time (Monday-Friday) working all year.
Benefits: 25 days holiday entitlement, 21.7% College pension contribution to LGPS, health care cash plan, free car parking, discounted Hair & Beauty, on-site gym, staff development & training, Pluxee Retail Discount Scheme, and more!
