Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Server to join our dynamic team. The Head Server will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by leading the serving staff, maintaining high standards of service, and overseeing the dining area. This position requires a strong background in hospitality and restaurant operations, along with excellent leadership skills.
Duties
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of the serving staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
* Train new servers on menu items, service standards, and food safety protocols.
* Manage guest interactions, addressing any concerns or feedback to enhance their dining experience.
* Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety regulations.
* Perform upselling techniques to promote menu items and increase sales.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
* Utilise basic math skills for managing bills and processing payments efficiently.
* Implement effective time management strategies to optimise service flow during peak hours.
Experience
* Proven experience in a restaurant environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of hospitality principles and guest services.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and culinary practices.
* Previous experience in serving, food preparation, or kitchen operations is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
