We currently have several casual vacancies throughout Fife in the following Care Home cafés: Ostlers House, Kirkcaldy. Methilhaven Care Village, Methil Lindsay House. Lumphinnans Casual staff receive payments in lieu of annual leave for hours worked. These are casual posts working as and when required Monday to Friday. We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £13.18 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends. Access to and support with a training opportunities and qualifications for the job. Local and national discounts including cinema’s supermarkets, restaurants and retail! This work is about providing customer service, in a busy catering environment Ensuring residents and visitors are catered for accordingly - this involves preparing and serving simple meals, snacks and beverages. Barista skills would be advantageous. On the job training is given working towards a Food Hygiene Certificate. The Person Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is essential. Being able to work in various team dynamics or working on your own and being able to use your initiative is advantageous. You may be asked to work at short notice. You will be required to attend an induction training day before starting in post. Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
