Overview
We are looking for Machine Operatives to work for a drinks manufacturer in the Bradford area.
As part of a team you will own the manufacturing process and deliver the key performance objectives within the QCDSP framework while maintaining the operational plant in the Ingredients Processing Centre.
Hours: 12‑hour shifts (7am‑7pm / 7pm‑7am). Shifts: Continental pattern involving days and nights. Pay: £15.87 per hour (up to £24.42 per hour for overtime). Duration: Temporary ongoing, long‑term, permanent opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities
* Fault finding and low‑level correction of pump and valve isolation.
* MES/SCADA error management, chemical handling and awareness.
* Mechanical maintenance at basic (AM) level.
* System auditing and reporting.
* Performing dynamic risk assessments.
* Compiling Standard Operating Procedures.
* Project team involvement and delivery as required.
* Continuous improvement of plant and process.
* Ensuring accurate transfer and consumption of raw materials between onsite storage locations, using FIFO, batch management principles and the site IT system.
* Manufacturing syrups using standard recipes, utilising the Manufacturing Execution Systems and SCADA systems.
* Training and supporting team development in the creation and use of SOPs; using MES and SCADA to monitor the plant, resolve error logs/system faults and compile fault logs.
* Owning and delivering key performance objectives using the QCDSP manufacturing framework and sustaining plant performance with continuous improvement tools and techniques.
* Maintaining hygiene standards of the Ingredient Process Centre using 5S principles.
* Controlling cleaning of downstream equipment and liaising with external manufacturing team leaders.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience using manufacturing execution systems (MES).
* 5S and BIT training (or equivalent NVQ Level 1 qualification).
* Food awareness and hygiene certification.
* Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office).
* Autonomous maintenance – basic mechanical skills.
