Main Responsibilities
* Implement departmental plans to deliver Fletchers’ priorities
* Ensure the team provides excellent customer service and achieves agreed performance targets
* Deliver objectives on “The Pitch” and support the budgeting process for the Clinical Negligence department
* Maintain high‑quality case planning, file management and ESD management to support financial planning and delivery of team budgets
* Lead, coach, develop and support team members, promoting a “cradle to grave” environment for continuous professional growth
* Provide advice and guidance on Clinical Negligence issues and ensure cases progress appropriately with client satisfaction delivered
* Work with department Heads to deliver quality legal services with unrivalled customer care in a compliant way
* Achieve key output metrics, including Fees, Work Done, EBITDA, and Customer satisfaction; and key input metrics such as Team chargeability %, letters of claim sent, cases served/settled, RA1/RA2 acceptance rates, win rate, zero data breaches, and team engagement
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience of successfully leading or managing a Clinical Negligence team
* Experience of running a wide variety of Clinical Negligence claims
* Ability to deliver excellent customer service and grow team productivity
* Experience of coaching and supporting team members
* Ability to role‑model good practice leadership
* Technology literate, with the ability to use technology to enhance legal services
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to form positive relationships with a wide variety of team members
* Strong analytical skills
