Job Advert Early Years Officer Peripatetic Post ID CS1854 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Officer to join the Early Intervention & Prevention team within the Early Learning and Childcare Sector dedicated to supporting children with additional support needs. You will work effectively as part of multiple teams, building positive, nurturing relationships with children, colleagues and professionals. Experience of contributing to a team‑around‑the‑child approach and working alongside a range of practitioners is desirable. This is a peripatetic role, requiring flexibility to work across multiple settings and visit several establishments each week. You must be able to work independently, using your own initiative, problem‑solving skills and creativity when responding to diverse situations and needs. The successful candidate will bring strong personal skills, knowledge and experience in inclusive practice and high‑quality pedagogies. You will be confident in identifying additional support needs, carrying out assessments, and working collaboratively with colleagues to share and implement support plans. Applicants must hold an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) and be registered, or in the process of registering, with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). This is a term‑time, permanent post within Falkirk Council Children’s Services. The successful candidate will be required to maintain PVG scheme membership. Salary will be adjusted for term‑time working. The role is peripatetic across Falkirk Council establishments; therefore, a full driving licence is essential.
