GSL Education are seeking a passionate and caring SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a friendly school in Gosport. If you love helping children learn and grow, this is a great opportunity to make a real difference.
You will work closely with teachers to support students who need extra help with their schoolwork and learning. This means helping with lessons, working with students one-on-one or in small groups, and making sure the classroom is a happy and safe place. You'll help students with their learning, their feelings, and their social skills. Join our team and help us make a positive impact on these children's lives.
Duties of the Role:
* Work with teachers to make lessons fun.
* Guide students with their schoolwork, feelings, and friendships.
* Give extra learning time to students who need it.
* Make the classroom a good place for everyone.
* Keep the classroom tidy and encourage good behaviour.
* Listen to students and help them feel understood.
* Share helpful information with teachers about how students are doing.
Who We Are Looking For:
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with SEN experience.
* A strong desire to support students' learning is essential.
* Good communication skills are needed for working with teachers and students."
* Ability to adapt support to meet individual student needs is necessary."
* A recent CV (covering the last 10 years) and a valid enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one are required.)
