As the UK business continues to grow to meet future opportunities, we now have a need for a Content/Copy Writer to join our UK&I Marketing team.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a hands‑on, natural copy writer with an instinct for storytelling who can help us develop brilliant written content.
You will be a proactive content writer who knows and understands the mechanics of beautifully written benefit‑led copy, that effortlessly communicates technologically advanced products.
You are tech savvy and live and breathe the digital world. You will have a proven track record of producing pieces that increase engagement at every level. Someone who has experience producing B2C and B2B branded content and writing about solutions as well as products.
This position requires a high level of creativity, as well as the ability to use data‑driven insights to write material targeted for an engaged but discerning audience. As a copywriter for a tech company you will have an affinity for technology, be detail‑oriented, and understand the importance of clear and consistent benefit‑led communication.
Collaboration with the broader marketing team who support different business divisions is vital. As is the ability to be self‑motivated and committed to meeting tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for both short‑form and long‑form copy writing across a range of content
* Regularly produce copy for various content types including blog posts, web pages, landing pages, meta‑descriptions, emails, thought‑leadership articles, case studies, whitepapers, videos, event collateral, retailer brand pages, awards submissions and, when necessary, social media copy.
* Ensure clear communication of brand positioning, solution or product value proposition and product messaging in copy production.
* Champion the use of content to channel key messages throughout the customer buyer journey and in different verticals or product categories.
* Collaborate with various departments as required, including marketing, product and sales to create content and ideas.
* Work closely with the design team, where necessary, to create engaging infographics for inclusion in content.
* Collaborate with the marketing team on content distribution, content optimisation, and SEO/GEO optimisation.
* Research effective long‑tail as well as head keywords using tools like Semrush, ahrefs to inform content development.
* Conduct competitive gap analysis and keyword research, integrating keywords naturally, and optimising on‑page elements such as headings, meta titles, and internal links.
* Keep up‑to‑date with the latest industry key trends and hot topics to inform future topic development areas.
* Transcribe and edit content produced by other members of the team.
* Assist on Website product copy updates and maintenance.
* Create and maintain a monthly content calendar and track KPI’s.
Key Requirements
* Excellent writing skills and a natural flair for written communication.
* Skilled at unravelling technical product information and translating into clear, concise benefit‑led copy.
* Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
* Ensure all content is consistent in terms of style, tone of voice and quality.
* Experience working with SEO tools (e.g. SEMrush, Google Search Console) to inform and evaluate content performance.
* Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO best practices, email, content and social media marketing.
* Experience in CMS tools such as Shopify and/or WordPress.
* Familiarity with HTML and web traffic metrics a bonus.
* Manage project timelines and consistently meet tight deadlines.
* Knowledge of marketing automation tools such as Hubspot but not essential.
* Interest in digital communication, AI, technology, and industry trends.
* Detail orientated.
Desired Competencies / Professional Attributes
* University qualification or relevant marketing qualification in journalism or creative writing qualifications
* 3-5 years of experience in B2C and B2B content writing in the technology sector
* Awareness of GEO / AI SEO and how evolving algorithms are influencing content creation and optimisation strategies.
* Highly organised, structured and proactive at managing tasks
* Ability to work in a team and build relationships with others.
* Possessing an exceptional level of attention to detail.
* Ability to handle multiple projects at once.
* A genuine interest in technology, innovation and staying up to date with technology developments.
