About the role
Lloyd & Whyte, part of Benefact Group, is seeking a Client Director to join our Direct Corporate Risks team.
We are looking for an experienced and talented Client Director to manage an existing book of business and to identify, attract, and retain new clients mainly within the Waste, Construction, or Haulage and Logistics sectors. Experience and proven success in these sectors are preferred but not mandatory.
You will provide an exceptional service experience to our clients, emphasizing expertise and excellence in market-leading products.

Key responsibilities
1. Provide comprehensive Commercial insurance services to current and prospective clients.
2. Develop technical and industry expertise within our chosen sectors, applying this knowledge to create tailored product propositions.
3. Deliver market-leading risk management services, especially related to motor fleet risks.
4. Assist in preparing and agreeing monthly and annual sales forecasts, targets, plans, and budgets.
5. Achieve sales forecasts and objectives, monitor performance, and report regularly to the Sales Director.
6. Generate leads via LinkedIn, cold calling, partnerships, and leverage business-provided leads.
7. Collaborate with account handling and claims teams to ensure high service standards.
8. Identify and implement corrective actions when performance deviates from plans.
9. Promote professionalism, expertise, and excellence internally and externally.
10. Contribute to marketing efforts, including content creation and participation in industry events.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
1. Understanding of the principles and legalities of Commercial Insurance, especially Motor Fleet, Liability, and Freight Liability.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in the UK Commercial Insurance market.
3. Risk assessment skills in major commercial classes of insurance.
4. Knowledge of industrial processes, security, Health & Safety legislation, and risk management.
5. Targeted trade or industry sector experience.
6. FSA Regulations knowledge for Commercial Customers.
7. Strong report writing and presentation skills.
8. Effective sales techniques and methods.
9. Budgeting and credit management expertise.
10. Cert CII is desirable.
