Overall Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Advisor plays a key role in supporting the organisation’s HR strategy by providing expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on all HR‑related matters. This includes employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and policy implementation. The HR Advisor ensures that HR practices are compliant with employment legislation and aligned with organisational values, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Accountabilities:
* Provide day‑to‑day HR advice and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Manage employee relations issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management, ensuring timely and legally compliant resolution.
* Support recruitment and selection processes, including job advertising, interviewing, and onboarding.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
* Support managers with performance management, including appraisals, probation reviews, and capability issues.
* Maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
* Coordinate learning and development initiatives, including identifying training needs and sourcing appropriate solutions.
* Monitor and report on HR metrics (e.g. absence rates, turnover, engagement).
* Participate in HR projects and initiatives aligned with strategic objectives.
* Keep up to date with changes in employment law and HR best practices, ensuring continuous improvement in HR processes.
