Temporary Bookkeeper for a construction company in Colchester, paying up to £38k Equiv office based Your new companyA successful and growing construction business located near Colchester, with a turnover of approximately £3 million, is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to support its finance function. The company operates from a site that requires access by car, so candidates must be able to drive. Your new roleYou’ll be working full-time in the office, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. This is a temporary 3-month position, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. You’ll be responsible for: Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Performing cash allocation, VAT returns, and bank reconciliations Using Xero accounting software daily Note: This role does not include payroll or accruals.
