What you will be doing:
* Managing and growing a portfolio of customers within the electronics sector, working closely with approximately 150 customers to ensure engagement, identify growth opportunities, and drive revenue.
* Applying proactive sales strategies and effective account management to maintain customer satisfaction and meet business objectives.
* Collaborating with internal teams, including pricing analysts, category/supplier managers, and business development managers, to optimise sales performance and market positioning.
* Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
* Achieving and exceeding sales targets to contribute to overall growth and profitability.
* Identifying opportunities to increase customer engagement and expand product sales.
* Conducting customer visits to strengthen relationships and understand business needs.
* Preparing and managing customer quotes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
* Negotiating and implementing pricing agreements for long-term profitability and customer retention.
* Providing tailored solutions leveraging product knowledge and industry insights.
* Monitoring industry trends, customer demands, and competitor activity to identify strategic opportunities.
* Supporting customers with product selection, stock availability, and technical inquiries.
* Collaborating internally to resolve customer issues related to logistics, pricing, and stock challenges.
* Maintaining and updating customer data in Salesforce to track sales performance and pipeline opportunities.
* Ensuring all sales activities comply with company and commercial policies.
What do I need to be successful?
* Strong commercial acumen to identify and maximise sales opportunities while considering business risks.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* High attention to detail in quotations, pricing, and reporting.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
* Motivated to drive engagement with a curious and inquisitive approach to closing opportunities.
* Self-motivated, flexible, and well-organized.
* Ability to build positive relationships and focus on personal development.
* Understanding of contract terms and conditions.
* Adaptability to new processes and change.
* Ability to build a robust sales pipeline.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience handling reports and sales data.
* Familiarity with pricing tools and data-driven decision-making.
