Description

To develop positive and productive stakeholder relationships with organisations in Medway, Maidstone and surrounding areas for the purpose of generating new opportunities for apprenticeship enrolment, work experience placements, T Level placements and other positive business engagement that generates additional income for the college. To support employers with identifying appropriate training opportunities for both existing employees and support with the process of recruitment for new trainees/ apprentices. Maintain a database of employer engagement activity across the college. Working with curriculum colleagues; creating opportunity for and supporting college wide employer engagement by attending local networking events and representing the college at employer and skills focussed forums. Managing and overseeing a dedicated recruitment service for apprenticeship vacancies to support ambitious growth of this provision within the college. Identify and implement methods of information sharing and effective communication with local businesses.



Main Responsibilities and Duties:

The following is an indication of the type and level of the main priorities expected of this role as directed by your line manager and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of duties or tasks:

1. Proactively engage with local businesses to promote apprenticeships and training offers.

2. Identify through positive engagement with local business new skill development needs that will inform course offers.

3. Proactively engage with local businesses and complete skills needs analysis to enable accurate mapping to available training programmes.

4. Proactively promote and co-ordinate employer recruitment events.

5. Manage the apprenticeship matching service for employers and young people.

6. Identify and attend business and industry forums and networking events, proactively building and maintaining positive key contacts and effective working relationships with relevant businesses and stakeholders. This includes building and maintaining a database of stakeholder contacts and employer engagement activity.

7. Provide accurate information, advice and guidance to the local business community on training / apprenticeship engagement, both funded and fee paying.

8. Develop and maintain a product portfolio of all training opportunities across the College both funded and fee paying.

9. Liaise with the Marketing& Communications department to ensure the provision of effective/ informative website pages to provide information, advice and guidance for local businesses.
