The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an associate to join our thriving Belfast Construction team. This role is ideally suited for a construction solicitor with at least 4 years' post-qualification experience, capable of working alongside our experienced construction partners on a broad range of predominantly contentious matters, with opportunities to be involved in non-contentious projects.
The successful candidate will be eager to develop their skills within a leading national team, interacting effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels and actively engaging in business development. They will also take full advantage of ongoing comprehensive training.
Our Team
Our nationally recognized construction & engineering team advises on all types of construction & engineering projects for contractors, developers, and housebuilders, including international projects. Our clients include major developers, national housebuilders, contractors, subcontractors, professional consultants, and employers not directly involved in construction.
We also serve local authorities, universities, football clubs, and automotive clients on various construction projects, including those involving process engineering and renewables. Our team includes specialists in both contentious and non-contentious construction matters. Our partners are recognized in the Legal 500 UK for their broad expertise in construction.
The Person
This opportunity is open to a solicitor with at least 4 years' PQE. The ideal candidate will have a passion for law and a solid foundation in construction work, primarily in contentious/dispute matters. We will also consider candidates experienced in contentious transactions or with a broad construction background who also practice in other areas.

* At least 4 years' PQE in construction, advising on contentious/dispute matters
* A strong understanding of fundamental construction law
* Ambition to build and grow a network of clients
* Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in engaging with clients and colleagues
* Strong teamwork ethic and ability to work under pressure
