Responsibilities
* Lead the specific pathway to identify accurate and robust information for Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) provision.
* Manage a caseload of children and young people with varying needs and disabilities, determining the appropriate advice for EHCPs.
* Plan and co‑ordinate service delivery in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team.
* Demonstrate excellent clinical knowledge, specialist assessment skills and advanced therapeutic techniques.
* Equip children and young people to develop independence, self‑management and participation in all areas of life.
* Contribute to the development of an effective, responsive integrated service for children and families/carers in Redbridge.
* Develop your own learning and support the training and development of junior colleagues, peers and students.
* Work as part of a team with excellent communication skills.
* Support junior staff and students in developing skills, managing caseloads and liaising with managers and other NELFT therapists to advance the service.
Key Skills & Qualifications
* Band 6 or 7 experience in children’s community occupational therapy.
* Experience in EHCP provision and pathway development.
* Strong clinical and therapeutic knowledge, with specialist assessment expertise.
* Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership abilities.
* Capability to mentor junior staff and support student learning.

Induction
New starters join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks. The induction includes mandatory training, system training and equipment allocation. New starters will also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend drop‑in sessions focused on engagement, health, wellbeing and key processes. The induction is held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
All hires are subject to a probationary period.
High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London
Eligible posts attract a supplement of 15 % of the basic salary, ranging from £4,714 to £5,941 per annum (pro‑rated for part‑time).
