We are a small, dynamic team of four architects working within a larger construction company specialising in steel‑frame buildings for agricultural, industrial, commercial, and logistics sectors. Our architectural team delivers projects across RIBA Stages 1–6, operating both collaboratively as part of a turnkey service and independently on architecture‑only commissions. We work on a wide range of typologies, offering creative and technical solutions for diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce, coordinate, and manage detailed architectural and technical information.
* Integrate engineering input and specialist subcontractor design into a fully coordinated package.
* Prepare and submit Building Regulations applications and support the discharge of planning conditions.
* Maintain design programmes and manage design‑related change control.
* Review technical submissions, shop drawings, and contractor proposals for compliance with design intent.
* Provide timely responses to RFIs and technical queries during construction.
* Undertake site inspections to monitor progress and construction quality.
* Support commissioning, handover documentation, and resolution of defects.
Requirements
* RIBA & ARB‑registered Architect (or equivalent).
* Strong technical design and coordination skills, with demonstrable experience in Stages 4–5.
* Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction processes, and industry standards.
* Confident communicator able to collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.
