The shift pattern for this post is 12:30 – 20:30 Monday – Friday, consisting of 37 hours per week.

An opportunity has arisen to work within the Central Decontamination Unit, Wren Road, Greenock. The core activity of the Central Decontamination Unit, Wren Road, Greenock, is the decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilisation and distribution of reusable medical devices, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Currently we have 1 post available in the unit, on a permanent contract. No experience is required as full training will be provided. However a good general education including literacy and numeracy skills, together with good manual dexterity are desirable.
Knowledge, training and / or experience required
1. Required to undertake on the job induction and training in all processes.
2. Required to complete departmental competencies
3. Undertake all Statutory / Mandatory Training
4. Undertake and complete mandatory HCSW standards
5. Applicants should have English and Maths qualifications at National 5 level or equivalent
6. Applicants should have effective written and verbal communication skill
7. Applicants should have the ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment
8. Applicants should have a working knowledge of basic information technology
