As a top-25 engineering consultancy, we deliver innovative and sustainable solutions across all sectors of the built environment. With access to Kier's impressive £11bn+ project pipeline, including landmark projects like High Speed 2 and Hinkley Point C, you'll be at the forefront of exciting developments.
Your Role
In this pivotal role, you will provide CDM and BSA leadership across all design contracts within Kier Design. You'll spearhead the development and implementation of our capability growth plan, collaborating with construction teams to win and successfully deliver multi-disciplinary projects while ensuring safety by design and client satisfaction.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
* Managing the delivery of the Principal Designer role as required by CDM regulations and the Building Safety Act.
* Leading the preparation of fee proposals and guiding bids through governance.
* Coordinating with in-house design capability leaders to ensure effective project resourcing.
* Providing technical leadership and support to design teams, ensuring designs are safe to build and maintain.
* Promoting an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought and experience is actively encouraged.
What We’re Looking For:
This role is perfect for you if:
* You hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with demonstrable industry experience at a similar level.
* You are a member of a relevant professional body (ICE, CIHT).
* You have experience in CDM regulations and Building Safety Act implementation.
* You are trusted to deliver what you promise, acting safely and ethically.
Working Conditions:
Location: Nationwide - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired.
