Location & Hours
Location: Galavale House, Galashiels (travel across the Borders). Hours: Fulltime (36 hrs), Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
* Provide operational leadership for Borders Addiction Service, ensuring delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
* Manage multidisciplinary staff and resources effectively.
* Drive compliance with MAT standards and national guidelines.
* Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve outcomes and service resilience.
Qualifications
* Registered healthcare professional with significant experience in addiction or mental health services.
* Proven leadership and management skills, including staff supervision and service improvement.
* Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
* Commitment to NHS values: care, compassion, quality, teamwork, dignity, respect, openness, and honesty.

Additional Details
As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
