About the role
We’re a small, growing consultancy looking for a capable, organised all-rounder to help keep the business running smoothly as we scale. This is a hands-on, part-time role combining people operations (light HR), internal comms, and general business admin.
You’ll be our go-to person for keeping things organised, nudging busy people, and building simple processes that make life easier for everyone. This would suit someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being the “glue” in a small team.
What you’ll be doing
People & HR support
* Proactively increase the candidate pool by identifying and contacting potential candidates on LinkedIn
* Manage key people dates and related admin (onboarding, probation, annual reviews, bonuses, holidays, sickness)
* Coordinate onboarding for new starters (contractors and permanent staff), including contracts and joining info
* Help build and maintain simple people resources, policies, SharePoint, and internal information
* Draft and send internal comms on key updates
Operations & admin
* Monthly QuickBooks admin and invoicing
* Track key contract dates (renewals, anniversaries, delivery milestones)
* Manage relationships with key suppliers (accountant/PAYE, web design agency, virtual office provider)
Projects & marketing support
* Support small projects (e.g. coordinating a website build)
* Coordinate monthly website updates
* Light marketing support: keep our LinkedIn page active, identify relevant network events, and maintain document templates
About you
* You’ve worked in an office manager, people ops, HR coordinator, or similar operations role
* You’re highly organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling a variety of small but important tasks
* You’re confident communicating with different stakeholders and nudging people when things slip
* You’re practical, calm, and enjoy bringing structure to slightly scrappy environments
* You’re comfortable using tools like LinkedIn, QuickBooks, Microsoft 365/SharePoint (or similar)
Practicalities
* Part-time role (approx. 8–12 hours per week to start), with flexibility around how hours are worked
* Location: The management team is based in Sutton Coldfield, with regular travel to Solihull and Coventry. While the role is largely flexible/remote, we’re keen to find someone local to the area who can occasionally meet in person and feel part of the team.
* Engagement: Our preference is for this to be an employed, part-time role for someone looking for stability and continuity. That said, we’re open to discussing a self-employed arrangement for the right person if that better suits their circumstances and availability.
* Longevity: We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with the business rather than a short-term gig.
