Viator’s Paid Media Engineering team creates and maintains the tooling used to bring millions of visitors to viator.com every month. The team is a cross functional team that owns our data centric processes from end-to-end, including data ingestion, transformation, visualization, and data architecture to ensure best-in-class operational reliability and modularity. The team is expanding and looking for a software engineer to support Viator’s growing traffic and deliver start-of-the-art solutions. Viator is a remote first company. This role can be either remote from anywhere in the UK, Portugal or Poland, or a hybrid setup based out of our Oxford, London or Lisbon offices.
What you'll do Design, Implement, document and monitor:
1. Reliable, fault-tolerant real-time integrations with marketing partners.
2. Tools that assist in managing marketing campaigns at scale.
3. End to End Data pipelines, from ingestions to delivery.
4. Assist in evaluating integration options with marketing partners.
What you'll need
5. Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
6. 3+ years of Software Engineering experience focused on Java.
7. Strong experience in SQL; can write and debug complex, performant, fail-safe queries.
8. Experience with Resful APIs.
9. Hands-on experience with Cloud computing technology like Google Cloud, AWS, etc.
10. Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team.
11. Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and self-learning skills.
12. Position may require travel

13. Experience in working with marketing partners is a plus.
14. Understanding of link tracking, pixels/tags, Google Analytics, and marketing attribution.
15. BigQuery or Google Cloud Experience.
16. Experience with CI/CD processes and platforms.
17. E-commerce, or startup experience is a plus.
