We are looking to appoint substantive Consultant roles within the Women's Directorate working within Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service Lines. The candidates are expected to be clinicians with evidence of CCT or CESR in obstetrics and gynaecology. These roles seek to improve the care of our patients and their families by improving access to our services and resolving gaps in planned and acute components of the broad spectrum of services we provide within the obstetrics and gynaecology service lines ay University Hospitals Plymouth.
Main duties of the job
We will be looking for candidates with evidence of prior development. This role will include general Gynaecology and/or Obstetrics and includes 1 in 8, resident daytime and non-resident out of hours on-call requirement.

Depending on specialist skills of candidates, it may be possible to accommodate a role encompassing obstetric only or gynaecology only job plan. Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full GMC Registration
* On the Specialist Register of the GMC or within six months of completion of Specialist Training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. If entering the Specialist Register by 'equivalence' this must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC
Skills
* Evidence of achievement of Foundation competences by time of appointment in line with GMC standards
* Demonstrate evidence of wide based knowledge
Research
* Experience of active involvement in quality improvement measures (clear description, outcomes and appropriate experience for the level of application). This can include audit, guideline development, implementation of health policy, improved team working, leadership etc.
* Publications and presentations in area of obstetrics and/or gynaecology
