A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join Southpaw Veterinary Orthopaedic Centre in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Situated in the beautiful Cotswold countryside, this role is perfect for an RVN with a passion for orthopaedic practice and an interest in specialising in orthopaedic surgeries and anaesthesia. We see a wide range of cases, from lameness investigations to trauma patients, to complex deformity corrections and joint replacements.
About the Role: This position offers the chance to work alongside a highly skilled team in a well-equipped practice to provide the very best care for our patients. Applicants should have a keen interest in anaesthesia, orthopaedic surgery and post-operative care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Anaesthesia and analgesia for patients undertaking orthopaedic procedures.
• Assist in orthopaedic surgeries, working closely with experienced surgeon.
• Providing high quality peri-operative care to surgical patients.
• Support general theatre duties when orthopaedic surgeries aren’t taking place.
• Ensure the highest standard of care for all patients under your supervision.
• Work as part of a collaborative team, helping to provide the very best post operative care and support for clients as well as patients.
The package:
• Salary from £28,000 - £33,000depending on experience, with room for progression within the role.
• No routine OOH

Ideal Candidate:
• Qualified RVN with experience in anaesthesia, and a keen interest in orthopaedic surgeries.
• Referral experience preferred but not essential.
• Passionate about patient care and looking to specialise in orthopaedics.
• Professional, motivated, and ready to work within a supportive and collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
