As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager with the day-to-day running of the service. You’ll lead shifts, mentor staff, oversee care delivery, and help create a safe, empowering, and recovery-focused environment where residents can thrive. This is more than just a leadership role, it’s an opportunity to positively impact lives, champion best practice, and help individuals achieve greater independence, confidence, and wellbeing.</p><h3>What You’ll Be Doing</h3><h3>Leadership & Shift Coordination</h3><ul><li>Lead and motivate care staff to deliver exceptional, person-centred support</li><li>Act as the senior member of staff on shift, providing guidance and direction</li><li>Ensure the smooth and effective running of the service day-to-day</li><li>Promote a safe, supportive, and positive living environment for residents</li><li>Respond confidently to incidents, safeguarding concerns, and emergencies</li></ul><h3>Care Planning & Resident Support</h3><ul><li>Develop and maintain detailed, person-centred care plans tailored to individual needs</li><li>Complete and review risk assessments and mental capacity assessments</li><li>Create personalised Safety Plans, Life Plans, and "All About Me" profiles</li><li>Support residents with daily living, emotional wellbeing, independence, and recovery goals</li><li>Build meaningful relationships with residents and encourage positive outcomes</li></ul><h3>Team Development & Communication</h3><ul><li>Support, supervise, and mentor care staff to help them grow and succeed</li><li>Lead handovers and team meetings to ensure excellent communication across shifts</li><li>Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies</li><li>Promote a positive team culture built on respect, compassion, and accountability</li></ul><h3>Quality & Compliance</h3><ul><li>Ensure all care records and documentation are accurate, up to date, and compliant</li><li>Support audits, inspections, and quality monitoring within the service</li><li>Champion safeguarding, best practice, and high standards of mental health care</li><li>Ensure all staff follow policies, procedures, and recovery-focused approaches</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><h3>Essential</h3><ul><li>Previous experience working within mental health or residential care services</li><li>Experience in a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or similar leadership role</li><li>Strong understanding of care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures</li><li>Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and person-centred care approaches</li><li>Ability to confidently lead shifts and support a care team effectively</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation</li><li>A compassionate, professional, and proactive approach to supporting residents</li></ul><h3>Desirable</h3><ul><li>NVQ/QCF Level 3 (or above) in Health & Social Care</li><li>Experience completing Mental Capacity Assessments and safety planning</li><li>Experience conducting staff supervisions and mentoring team members</li><li>Knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements within residential care services</li></ul><h3>Key Skills</h3><ul><li>Strong leadership and decision-making abilities</li><li>Excellent organisation and time management skills</li><li>Ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressureEffective communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>High attention to detail with record keeping and documentation</li><li>Compassionate, recovery-focused, and person-centred approach to care</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Mileage paid over 5 miles (up to 50 miles per day)</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Company pension in place</li><li>Meals provided</li><li>24/7 free counselling service</li><li>On site car park</li><li>Monthly staff bonuses</li><li>Refer a friend scheme of up to £250 each</li></ul><p>Full time (37.5 hours per week).
