Childcare Solicitor — Permanent | 2+ Years’ PQE
Location: Greater Manchester
Are you passionate about safeguarding vulnerable children? A well-established and highly regarded Greater Manchester law firm is seeking a Childcare Solicitor to join its growing childcare team. Known for its excellent reputation in childcare and family law, the firm offers a supportive and collaborative working environment.
You will join a friendly team of five specialist care lawyers, supported by experienced secretarial and paralegal staff. This role may also suit candidates seeking part-time working arrangements.
Responsibilities
* Care proceedings
* PLO (Public Law Outline) pre-proceedings work
* Representing clients in childcare matters
* Drafting legal documents and case preparation
* Advocacy where appropriate
You will also work closely with colleagues within the childcare team to deliver high-quality legal services to vulnerable children and families.
Requirements
* 2+ years’ PQE (guideline only – applications from all experience levels are welcome)
* Qualification as a Solicitor
* Strong communication, analytical and drafting skills
* The ability to manage a full caseload independently
* A willingness to undertake advocacy where appropriate
* Children Panel membership (or working towards it) is desirable
