Overview
Senior Staff Nurse - Imaging role at The Lister Hospital, London. Full time: 37.5 hours per week. Shift times: Monday – Friday (Flexibility required to cover 8am – 8.00pm) plus on call. Permanent contract. Rotation to Chelsea Outpatients Centre; 272/280 Kings Road and Chiswick Medical Centre, W4 4HS.
Location: The Lister Hospital, Chelsea, London.
Overseeing imaging modalities with rotation across Interventional Radiology, CT, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, MRI and Core Services.
Responsibilities
* Provide a professional standard of excellence in nursing services for all patients.
* Be competent in Imaging Nursing, including assisting with one stop breast clinics, imaging guided drainages and biopsies, Interventional Radiology cases and therapeutic procedures.
* Share clinical knowledge with multi-disciplinary colleagues formally (CPD sessions/clinical competency forms) and informally (ad hoc teaching/training).
* Participate in mandatory training relating to Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Children, ensuring escalation of safeguarding concerns.
* Assist bookings clerks and Radiographers in the booking of immediate appointments.
* Form effective working relationships with Consultants, medical, Radiographic and administrative staff within the Department and hospital.
Notes: You will need to be flexible to travel to other sites within The Lister campus and surroundings as required.
What You’ll Bring / Qualifications
* Hold a BSc (or equivalent) in Nursing and hold a current UK NMC registration meeting PREP requirement.
* Experience in Imaging/IR is essential
* Demonstrate commitment to Imaging nursing through CPD/protocol development within a radiology area.
* Have a portfolio of relevant CPD
* Post Graduate qualification within imaging or another relevant area
* Previous experience in working with paediatrics is an advantage
