Aircraft Engineering Supervisors (Wildcat) (Mechanical and Avionics)

38 hours / 40 hours or 45 hours per week contracts available, Monday – Friday. An opportunity to develop a career in Aviation supporting the Royal Navy.
Serco are proud to support the Fleet Air Arm, including the Wildcat Maritime Force (WMF) based at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, delivering services ranging from the repair and maintenance of military aircraft to fuel delivery and off-aircraft support services. Yeovilton is one of the Royal Navy’s two principal air stations, and one of the busiest military airfields in the UK.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for aircraft management and ground support to Wildcat aircraft.
* Carry out contracted tasks ensuring customer policy and regulations are met to a high standard; raise any customer complaints, quality issues, or business risks with Team Leads.
* Comply with The Health and Safety at Work (HASAW) Act 1974 and Customer Policy and Regulations.
* Complete administration duties required by the role and participate in further training to develop skills and knowledge.
What you’ll need to do the role
* Minimum of 6 years working in an airworthiness environment with relevant experience for the Wildcat aircraft, including at least 2 years of hands-on experience.
* Ability to hold or hold Certificate of Competency for Supervisory level.
* Formal training in the Wildcat aircraft and associated trade systems.
* Good working knowledge of Wildcat Aircraft Engineering and Aircraft Systems (by Trade); Wildcat Aircraft Servicing and Support Equipment.
* Certificate of Competency at Supervisor level.
* Understanding of Lean Operating Procedures.
* Understanding of Naval Air Publications and Compound – Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (C-IETP).
* Adherence to Health and Safety, COSHH Regulations, Tool Control and Quality Practices.
* Understanding of Engineering and Asset Management Systems.
* Maintenance Human Factors training completed or willing to complete.
* Understanding of rotary-wing military aviation procedures.
* Understanding of Airworthiness Engineering Safety and Compliance in accordance with Regulatory and Legislative requirements (MAA).
* Ability to work productively, efficiently, and with initiative under tight timescales and pressure while maintaining operational outputs.
* Ability to achieve SC clearance.
