Senior Healthcare Support Worker

Location: Ward 110, Hull Royal Infirmary (part‑time).
Job Summary: You will support the registered nursing team in providing direct high quality care for stroke patients. You will work under the supervision of the Senior Sister and in partnership with the nursing team.
Main duties of the job
You must demonstrate strong communication skills (verbal and written), flexibility, and effective teamwork. A genuine desire to develop within the NHS and a commitment to delivering excellent care for patients are essential.

Education / Qualifications
* Care Certificate
* IT skills
* Recent study
Knowledge, Training & Experience
* Understanding of patient needs in a care setting
* Sound knowledge of confidentiality protocols
* Confident people skills
* Ability to use patient administration IT systems
* 2 years’ experience in acute or community health or care setting (or transferable experience) with demonstrable keenness and passion for the role
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
* Kind, caring and compassionate
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Works well within a large MDT
* Demonstrates understanding of confidentiality
* Evidence of clinical and professional development
