Clinical Nurse Specialist - Upper GI cancer
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across acute, primary, community and mental health services. The Clyde General Surgical Department is seeking a suitably qualified senior Surgical nurse with previous experience and an interest in Oncology.
The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday. The post-holder will take a lead role in ongoing development and support of the Upper GI service within the Clyde remit. They will be responsible for working within a multi‑disciplinary team to provide and facilitate comprehensive, coordinated and effective care and treatment for patients with Upper GI cancer/disease. This may be achieved either directly through personal contact with the patient, or indirectly through a combination of, or focus on, one of the following: leadership, facilitation, teaching, research/audit, consultation and provision of hospital‑wide Upper GI based nursing policies and protocols.
