Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The successful candidate will play a vital part in delivering personalised care plans and fostering positive relationships with clients. Responsibilities
* Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
* Supporting the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each client’s needs
* Providing companionship and emotional support to clients in care homes or during home visits
* Administering medication as directed by healthcare professionals (training provided)
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
* Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
* Driving between different care locations as required (must have valid driving licence)
* Ensuring a safe and clean environment for all clients by adhering to health and safety protocols
Requirements
* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel between care settings or clients’ homes
* Experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
* Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
* Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues
* Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
