A primary school in Ellesmere Port is looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant from 20th April through to the summer term.
This is a varied and rewarding role providing 1:1 support across two key stages.
The Role:
1. Mornings: 1:1 support within KS1
2. Afternoons: 1:1 support within Upper KS2
3. Supporting pupils to access learning and stay engaged
4. Working closely with class teachers and SEN staff
5. Providing consistent, structured support throughout the day
What We’re Looking For:
6. Previous experience working as an LSA/TA in primary schools
7. Confidence supporting both KS1 and KS2 pupils
8. Experience working 1:1
9. Strong behaviour management skills
10. A patient, adaptable and proactive approach
This role is ideal for someone who can confidently adjust their approach between younger and older pupils and build strong relationships quickly.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
28. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers

30. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
31. Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
32. Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
