We are currently looking to recruit an Administrator in our Gloucester branch to provide administrative support to the sales and operational functions and ensure the daily completion of general site administration tasks. What you’ll be doing: Cash management Daily banking Chasing customer overdue invoices and account payments Sales admin Resolving customer invoice queries Occasional requirement to serve customers on the trade counter Dealing with incoming calls from customers regarding pricing, delivery eta’s and stock enquiries etc Crediting returned goods and pricing errors Chasing customer quotations Sending payment links Filing/archiving daily paperwork Setting customer terms Operations Stock management including locating items, labelling stock and putting stock away in the shop Daily stock checks Ordering stock from other branches Helping to move slow stock to other branches Processing goods in Ordering items for branch use Supplier invoice queries Monitoring delivery dates with suppliers Any checks required for audit purposes Transport administration and compliance for lorries and drivers to meet legal and FORS requirements Uploading daily routes for drivers Checking the safety of vehicles leaving the premises Managing repairs and services of vehicles Booking couriers when required Health and safety administration, checks and compliance First aid training provided Issuing permits to work to contractors Any other reasonable requests to support the branch team FLT license can be provided but not mandatory What you’ll bring: • Previous experience in merchanting or construction industry is a bonus • Strong organisation skills and a good self motivator • Great communication skills and a customer-first attitude. • Good IT and numeracy skills, with attention to detail in processing orders. • Ability to build relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers. • A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn.
